Islampur Union is located at the western end of Damudya upazila in Shariatpur district.
History

Islampur Union is a small union. From 1975 to 1996, it was known as the 3rd ward of Kaneshwa Union. Kaneshwa Union was divided into two parts and formed as Islampur Union. The first chairman was Md. Jahangir Alam Matabbar. [1]
